Jackson Named Rookie of the Year, Maroons Place Two On VaSID Men's Lacrosse All-State Teams
LYNCHBURG -�Roanoke Men's Lacrosse freshman Kevin Jackson was named VaSID All-State Rookie of the Year, while two Maroons earned All-State Honors in the 2014 VaSID All-State Teams, announced Tuesday. �Goalkeeper Charles Pease was named VaSID First Team All-State, while Michael Packo was named Second Team All-State.

Kevin Jackson - Attack - Baltimore, MD
Jackson, a freshman from Baltimore, Md., stepped right in to lead the Maroons with 37 goals scored in his first campaign in Salem, earning him Second Team All-ODAC honors. �He finished second on the squad with 52 total points, adding 15 assists to résumé.� He scored at least one goal in each of 17 games played this season, including a career-high five goals in a win over Lynchburg in early April.� He scored three or more goals in seven different contests.

Charles Pease�� Goalie � Landisville, PA
Pease was a pre-season All-American in 2014, was also named First Team All-ODAC in 2013 and 2014.� He also earned an honorable mention All-American award in 2013.� Pease played in all 17 games for the Maroons this season, tallying 944 minutes between the pipes.� He ranked second in the ODAC in save percentage, stopping 59.1 percent of the shots hurled his way.� He has made 182 saves on the season, which ranked third in the ODAC.��At the end of the year, Pease was named Roanoke College Male Athlete of the Year.� Over his four years at Roanoke, he ranks second all-time in wins with 41, as well as tallying 646 saves, which is fifth all-time for a Maroon.

Michael Packo�� Defender � Lutherville, MD
Packo earned his first All-American recognition in 2014.� He also picked up his first All-ODAC First Team honors in 2014, after receiving an honorable mention nod in 2012.� Packo played and started in all 17 games for the Maroons this season as a defender.� He tallied 37 ground balls and forced seven turnovers.� Along with being named Third Team All-American,�Michael Packo�has been named to the USILA North-South Game South Team.� Packo becomes the 80th�Maroon to take part in the USILA North-South Game, as the Maroons have had a player in the game every year since 2006.�
