The Menchville product was a First-Team NSCAA All-South Atlantic Region pick last week for the second-straight season. Stark now joins former star players and Maroon coaches Andy Mosen (1961-62) and Scott Anderson (1966-69), along with former great Ted Delledera (1984-85) as the only men's soccer players to earn All-American honors at least twice or more in their careers. At center back, he finished third on the team in scoring with six goals, five off of headers and totaled 31 shots, 11 shots on goal.
He had three game-winners on the year, second on the team, including a header off a corner kick with less than a minute remaining in the 3-2 victory over Virginia Wesleyan during the regular season. Stark was named to both the 2009 Roanoke Invitational and the Cialella Soccer Classic All-Tournament Teams during the regular season.
The Maroons finished 13-6-3 on the season and 7-2-1 in the ODAC… it's the third-straight season with at least 12 wins or more as the Maroons also advanced to the ODAC Championship game for the third-straight year.
