ODAC Men's and Women's Soccer Quarterfinals Set
SALEM, Va. --- Roanoke men's and women's soccer teams will be hosting the ODAC Quarterfinals this Saturday at Kerr Stadium. The men will host Hampden-Sydney at 1 p.m. while the women will host Randolph-Macon at 3:30 p.m.
The men's soccer team finished the regular season 13-3-2, 7-1-2 in the ODAC as they clinched the #2 seed in the conference tournament. The defense for the Maroons is 15th in the country in shutout percentage with 13 blank sheets on the year. They have been quite impressive at home, going 8-0-1 and haven't allowed a goal at Kerr Stadium all season. It is the Maroons fourth undefeated home record in program-history.
The Maroons are 2-0 against the Tigers in the ODAC Tournament. After a slow start to the season, the conference's pre-season #1 pick in the poll has gone 4-1-1 over the last six games.

Avery Makel (Nellysford, VA, Nelson County) has picked up where injured goalkeeper Ryan Russell (Danville, VA, GW Danville) left off and has done quite well, going 4-1-1 in seven appearances in goal this season while posting a .70 GAA and a .826 save percentage. NSCAA Two-Time All-American defender Michael Stark (Newport News, VA, Menchville) not only anchors the defense, but the offensive attack as well. He currently leads the Maroons in scoring with six goals and four assists for 16 points, including six game-winners.

Sophomore Cameron Travalini (Millville, DE, Indian River) has posted five goals and five assists for 15 points, while senior captain Jason Ryan (Radford, VA, Radford) three goals and five assists gives him 11 points on the year.
The women's soccer team, which has gone unbeaten in its last 12 games, has finished undefeated in conference play for the second time in program-history. The Maroons finished 6-0 in 1988 en route to claiming the ODAC regular season title. Roanoke enters this weekend ranked sixth in the second-straight NCAA South Atlantic Region Poll.
The Maroons avenged last season's loss to R-MC and has won five of the last six meetings against the Yellow Jackets in the regular season finale, 3-1. The defensive unit hasn't allowed more than a goal in the series over the last five years, outscoring their ODAC-foe, 20-2 during that span.
The Maroons are 3-9-1 against the Yellow Jackets in the ODAC Tournament, going 2-1-1 over the last four post-season meetings.
