Drew Claytor led a very strong Maroon midfield through the 2011 season. He finished the season with 11 points coming from three goals and five assists. Claytor was also named ODAC Player of the Week for the week of October 17th. He was also a selection for the All-ODAC first team. Included in Claytor's three goals was one game winner as the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Guilford.
Brian White also played a strong role in the Roanoke midfield, leading the team in scoring with eight goals. White was named ODAC Player of the Week for the week of October 3rd. White was also named to the All-ODAC First Team in 2011. Among White's eight goals were two game winners; one in a 2-1 victory over Washington & Lee and the other in a 1-0 win against Averett.
The Maroons finished the season 12-6-1 and were 7-2-1 in the ODAC. The team fell in the ODAC quarterfinal round to Virginia Wesleyan 2-0 at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Va.
