Tyler Carbaugh '16 Joins Men's Soccer Staff

Salem, Va. -- Roanoke College Men's Head Men's Soccer Coach Ryan Pflugrad announced the addition of Tyler Carbaugh as an assistant coach on his staff.

Carbaugh will be involved in all aspects of the Maroon program including match and training strategy, recruiting, as well as spearheading marketing and branding efforts of the program.

"We are excited to have Tyler join our staff," said Pflugrad.  "In my opinion, Tyler was one of the most dominant players in the ODAC over the last four years and his work rate, knowledge of the game and experiences as a player here at Roanoke College should serve our current student athletes well in his new role."

Carbaugh graduated in May with degree in sports management. On the pitch, Carbaugh was a four-time All-ODAC selection, including three consecutive first-team accolades. As a freshman, he was a second-team choice and the ODAC Rookie of the Year. He was also a two-time all-region player and a three-time all-state selection.

Carbaugh played in 57 matches as a Maroon, scorning nine goals while dishing out 12 assists for 21 career points from his midfield position.
