Forest, Va. – Eight Roanoke Men's Soccer standouts have been named to the 2017 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) All-Conference Team.

Sam Rauf was named First-Team All-ODAC. Marshall Hodge, Fortune Sibanda, Marc Hoppler, Tim Mahabir and Nick Tadros were all second-team selections, while Cole Thornton and Brandon Bauer were named to the third-team.

Rauf caps his career with his fourth consecutive all-conference award and his first appearance on the first-team. Rauf, along with Hoppler, Mahabir and Tadros were a part of a Maroons defense that allowed just 0.83 goals per match this season and had eight shutouts to their credit. 

It is the second straight second-team nod for Hoppler, while Mahabir garners his third straight all-league honor. Tadros made the second-team a year after being a third-team pick in 2016. Tadros finished third in the league with a 0.78 goals-against-average.

Hodge finished second on the team with 14 points. He scored four goals and added six assists which tied for second-most in the ODAC. Sibanda finishes his career with his third straight all-conference selection. He recorded an assist in a win over Emory & Henry.

Bauer finished with team-high 15 points en route to his first all-conference honor. He tied for the team lead with five goals and his five assists tied for fourth in the ODAC. Thornton had five goals and added an assist for 11 points on the season to earn his first All-ODAC accolade.
