LYNCHBURG - Four Maroons were named to the 2012 VaSID College Women's Lacrosse All-State Team, including one player earning a top honor. Darragh Evarts was named the 2012 VaSID Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Year. Allison Bonanno and Elizabeth Hartge earned first-team honors, while Evarts and Wager were named second-team accolades. All four Maroons were named to the First Team All-ODAC for the 2012 season.

Darragh Evarts - Midfield - VaSID Rookie of the Year - Second Team All-State
Evarts, a freshman from Goldens Bridge, N.Y., stepped in and contributed big numbers up-and-down the field for the Maroons. Her performance earned the ODAC Rookie of the Year title for 2012. She notched 66 points on 54 goals and 12 assists. She recorded three or more points in a game 11 times with a high of eight (7 goals, 1 assist) in early April. She also picked up an ODAC fourth-best 50 ground balls and corralled 61 draws. Defensively, she caused 33 turnovers, the third highest total in the conference.

Allison Bonanno - Attack - First Team All-State
Bonanno led the Maroons offensively, scoring 56 goals and 45 assists. She was named as a member of the IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region First-Team. With 101 points in 2012, she ranks fourth in single-season total points. This season, she also ranks fourth in single-season shots on goal (107). Bonanno tallied 31 ground balls caused 18 turnovers this season. She also netted two game-winning goals.

Elizabeth Hartge - Defense - First Team All-State
Hartge finished the 2012 season with nine goals and two assists. She was named as a member of the IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region First-Team. Hartge was also picked to play in the 2012 IWLCA North/South All-Star Game. She led the Maroons in ground balls with 61. Hartge forced 36 turnovers this season, which ranks fifth on the single-season records list. She also ranked third on the team in draw controls with 57.

Kathleen Wager - Midfield - Second Team All-State
Wager tallied 77 total points this season, scoring 53 goals and dishing out 24 assists. Her performance this season earned a spot on the IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region second-team. She ranked third on the team in ground balls (49) and second in draw controls (58). Wager caused 33 turnovers which ranks eighth on the single-season records list. She topped the team with 12 free-position goals and netted three game-winner
