Forest, Va. – Four Roanoke Women's Lacrosse standouts have been named to the 2017 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Teams, including Morgan Barlow who was named the league's rookie of the year.
Barlow, who was a second-team all-league choice was joined by Emma Boris and Courtney McCartin who were first-team and Katie Clements who was named to the third-team.
McCartin finished her senior season ranked fifth in the ODAC with 51 points. She had 30 goals which was 12th most in the league, while her 21 assists was fourth best in the ODAC. It's the first first-team honor for McCartin who was named to the second-team as a junior.
Boris collects her second straight first-team accolade after a sophomore campaign where she ranked second in the ODAC in groundballs with 47, including a league high 31 in ODAC play. She also grabbed 40 draw controls which was 10th most in the league, while her 34 caused turnovers was second-best in the ODAC.
Barlow wrapped up her first season in Salem with 24 goals which ranked 20th in the league. She also dished out two assists for a total of 26 points. Barlow also snared 23 draw controls on the season for the Maroons.
Clements had a breakout year for the Maroons registering 22 points on 15 goals and seven assists. Her 53 draw control wins was third best in the ODAC, while her 33 groundballs was 16th highest in the league.
