Five Maroons Named To 2014 Women's Soccer All-ODAC Teams
FOREST, Va. ---Lynchburg College�earned three of the four special individual honors as part of the All-ODAC�Women's Soccer Awards.� Forward Angela Bosco was named the ODAC Player of the Year, while head coach Dr. Todd Olsen was tabbed the ODAC Coach of the Year.� Defender Emily Maxwell received ODAC Rookie of the Year laurels.��Shenandoah University�midfielder Danielle Burris was selected the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Scholar-Athlete.

The Maroons placed five players on 2014 Women's Soccer All-ODAC Teams.� Junior Nathalie Torres was named First Team All-ODAC, while Marlana Barnard, Kaitlyn Manning and Laura Sullivan all were tabbed Second Team All-ODAC.� Junior Ashley Barnes garnered Third Team All-ODAC honors.

Torres, a junior from Wilmington, DE, earns First Team All-ODAC honors for the second consecutive season.� Torres started 15 of 18 games for the Maroons during the 2014 season.� She scored one goal on October 15th in Roanoke's 5-0 win over Sweet Briar College.� Torres tallied 17 shots on the year, as well.� In three seasons, Torres has netted six goals for a total of 12 points in her career.

Barnard, a junior from Vienna, VA, picks up her first All-ODAC honors of her career, being tabbed Second Team All-ODAC in 2014.� Barnard led the Maroons in scoring, tallying nine goals during the season, a mark that ranked seventh among all players in the ODAC.� She also dished out two assists for 20 total points on the year, which ranked 11th in the conference.� Barnard fired off 63 shots, the sixth highest attempts in the conference.� She also scored three game-winning goals, ranking fifth in the ODAC.� Barnard opened the season scoring three goals in the Maroons' 7-0 victory over Averett University.

Manning, a senior from Davie, FL, grabs Second Team All-ODAC honors for the second consecutive season.� Manning finished the season with just two shots, but played in 13 games in her senior season.� In the 13 games she played for the Maroons, Manning aided the squad in tallying seven shutouts in the team's 11-win season.

Sullivan, a freshman from Chapel Hill, NC is named Second Team All-ODAC in her debut season with the Maroons.� Sullivan played 18 games for Roanoke, starting in 14 contests.� She tallied two shots over the course of the season, as well.� Along with Manning, Sullivan was part of the Maroon defense that pitched seven shutouts against its opponents in the 11-win season.

Barnes, a junior from S. Elgin, IL, picks up her second All-ODAC honors in her career, having been named Second Team All-ODAC in 2013.� She played in all 19 games for the Maroons in the 2014 season.� Over the course of the year, Barnes tallied six goals and three assists for a total of 15 points.� She ranked fifth in the ODAC in game winning goals, netting three game deciding tallies during the season.� In the All-Time record books at Roanoke College, Barnes is tied for 10th in game winning goals, scoring seven in her three years on the squad.� Barnes scored two goals against Randolph-Macon in the Maroons' 4-1 win.
