The Lead: RC opened the 2015 Roanoke Invitational by tying John Carroll 1-1. SierraLynn Johnson scored the lone goal for RC.

How it Happened
- Johnson got the Maroons on the board in the 13th minute when she took a pass inside the box from Linnea Kremer and put the ball in the top left corner of the net to give RC a 1-0 lead.
- The Maroons had several opportunities to double their lead, but JCU keeper Rhianna Guarnera made three key second-half stops.
- JCU got the equalizer in the 81st minute when a corner kick was served in to the box and Taylo Tercek came out of crowd of players, collected the ball and scored to even the contest.
- RC outshot JCU 15-7, putting six of those shots on frame, while JCU held a 5-4 in edge in corner kicks.
- Roanoke's Sarah Dvorak made one save, while Guarnera finished with five stops.

Roanoke will play Elizabethtown at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Blue Jays lost to Lynchburg 1-0 in Saturday's opening match. LC and JCU will square off at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.�
