The Lead: Salisbury handed RC Women's Soccer its first loss of the season as the Sea Gulls made a first-half goal stand up as they topped the Maroons 1-0 on Saturday.
How it happened:
- Salisbury scored the only goal it would need in the 27th minute when Jenna Taylor notched an unassisted strike.
- Hope Knussman made five stops for Salisbury in net, including a pair of saves on Linnea Kremer and Courtney Yoke in the closing minutes to keep RC off the board.
- Sarah Dvorak made seven saves�in 90 minutes of work for RC.
- Salisbury outshot RC 13-6 and held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.�
Roanoke will open ODAC play Friday night at defending National Champion Lynchburg at 7:00 p.m.
