Roanoke College women's soccer midfielder Emily Whitaker collects ODAC Player of the Week honors. This is the first time she has received the honor in her RC career.

Whitaker, a sophomore from Roanoke, Va., helped the Maroons to a pair of wins last week, including a 2-0 triumph over regionally-ranked Christopher Newport University. �Whitaker started off her week by assisting on a goal in a 3-0 win at Guilford. �The Maroons returned home to take on CNU, with Whitaker opening the scoring in the 17th minute via an unassisted effort. �She then dished out the assist on Anna Carter's tally in the 44th minute towards an eventual 2-0 win. �Whitaker has seven points on two goals and three assists this season.

The women's soccer team is back in action on Tuesday, October 27th when they head to Winston-Salem, Nc. to take on Salem College at 4:00 p.m.
