The Lead: Sixth-seeded Roanoke College advanced to the ODAC Women's Soccer Semifinals on penalty kicks over third-seeded Washington and Lee on Wednesday.

How it Happened:
  • The Generals got on the board just 5:20 into the match on a Caroline Peters unassisted strike to make it 1-0.
  • The match stayed that way until the 70th minute when RC's Linnea Kremer fed Anna Carter for the equalizing goal for the Maroons.
  • The match stayed that way through the end of regulation and the two overtime frames before heading to penalty kicks.
  • Sarah Dvorak stopped the first Washington and Lee pk attempt and the Maroons were flawless with chances.� RC got tallies from Marlana Barnard, Nathalie Torres, Lauren O'Brien, Abby Hobby and Laura Sullivan who notched the win by converting her chance.
