Bailey Parks Named ODAC Track & Field Athlete of the Week

Salem, Va. – Roanoke's Bailey Parks has been named the ODAC Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week as the league announced its weekly awards on Monday.

Parks, a freshman from Cornelius, N.C., put together a pair of winning performances at the W&L Carnival over the weekend. Parks won both the long and triple jumps and ranks inside NCAA Division III's top-50 in both events thru the first two weeks of outdoor competition. Her mark of 10.90 meters (35-9.25) tops the ODAC season chart and sits 20th in the country. She is now #2 in the ODAC table in the long jump after leaping to 5.14 meters (16-10.50) in the long jump. That mark is 26th in the nation. Parks also helped the Maroons to second in the 4x100-meter relay with a team time of 51.07 seconds.
