Six Maroons were honored for not only their athletic accomplishments, but for their academic success. Four of the six carry a 4.00 Grade Point Average (GPA), while the others sport a 3.974 and 3.966 gpa.

ODAC Quarterfinals for Maroons
May 03, 2022The Roanoke College men’s tennis team made the trip east to face Virginia Wesleyan in the Quarterfinal round of the 2022 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men’s Tennis Tournament on Tuesday afternoon. Thanks to the unbalanced schedule it was the first meeting of the season between the Maroons and Marlins. Virginia Wesleyan would sweep the three doubles matches and once they had claimed wins at #5 and #6 singles, the Marlins had accumulated the necessary five points to advance in the tournament.

Maroons Fall in Finale
April 24, 2022Sunday marked the final day of the regular season for the Roanoke men’s tennis team. The Maroons made the trip east to Farmville to face Hampden-Sydney in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match. The Tigers would prove to be anything but hospitable hosts when the welcomed Roanoke by sweeping the doubles matches. The change over to singles did little to slow Hampden-Sydney as the home team took the matchup 9-0.

April 03, 2022The Roanoke went back on the road for a Sunday afternoon match with Shenandoah. The Maroons took a 2-1 edge after the doubles matches. The Hornets would tie the match by taking the #1 singles spot to set up a best of five for the match. Roanoke would win three of the final five singles matches to pick up the win in the old Dominion Athletic conference (ODAC) standings.

April 01, 2022The Roanoke College men's and women's tennis teams hosted Bridgewater College at the Elizabeth Campus Tennis Center on a cold and windy, Friday afternoon. The Eagles would lead both matches after the doubles segment and went on to win a pair over the Maroons. The Bridgewater men defeated Roanoke 6-3 while the RC women fell to the Eagles 7-2.

March 19, 2022The Roanoke men traveled to Ashland for an afternoon match with Randolph-Macon. The Maroons would race out to a 2-1 advantage after the doubles matches. In singles play, the Yellow Jackets would take a 4-3 edge with just two matches left to finish. When RMC won at the #5 position, the Yellow Jackets had secured the win.

Maroons Host Guilford in ODAC Play
March 18, 2022The Roanoke College women's tennis team hosted Guilford College on Friday afternoon. The Maroons would win their third consecutive match with 7-2 win over the Quakers, claiming their first win in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play this season. On the men's side, the Quakers would add to their perfect ODAC mark with a 9-0 win over Roanoke.
