LYNCHBURG, Va. --- Roanoke defeated Randolph, 3-0 in ODAC Volleyball action Tuesday evening. The win improved the Maroons record to 8-7 overall and 2-2 in conference play. The Wildcats dropped to 0-14, 0-3 in the ODAC.

The Maroons defeated the Wildcats with scores of 25-15, 25-23 and 25-17 in their first game in a week. Roanoke is now 30-10 all-time against Randolph, winning the last 13 meetings since 1997. The win also marks #198 for head coach Blair Trail, as she needs two more to become only the second current coach in the ODAC with at least 200 wins.

Lynsey Ferris (Roanoke, VA, Northside)led the Maroons with seven kills and four blocks (three solo). Rachel Hawkins (Winchester, VA, Millbrook)also had seven kills and three block solos while Maggie Wagner (Roanoke, VA, Cave Spring)finished with four kills and nine digs.

Caitlyn Long (Roanoke, VA, Cave Spring)led Roanoke with 14 digs along with two aces and two kills. Shannon Stone (Williamsburg, VA)totaled 18 assists, six digs, two aces and a block assist in the Maroons eighth win of the season.

The women will host Virginia Wesleyan in an ODAC match this Friday, Oct. 2 at the Bast Center. The Maroons are 5-3 against the Marlins and will look to avenge last seasons' loss. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
