Blackmore & Hedgepeth Earn ODAC Volleyball Honors

Forest, Va. – Roanoke College's Kylah Blackmore and Ryan Hedgepeth have both been named to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Volleyball All-Conference team announced on Saturday evening.

Blackmore was named Second-Team All-ODAC following a junior season in which she ranks 10th in the ODAC with 2.98 kills per game. Her 3.17 kills per game in league matches was seventh best, while her 111 kills in ODAC play was eight highest in the league. Her 3.49 digs in all matches ranked 10th best in the ODAC, while she recorded 10 or more digs in 17 matches this season and had eight double-doubles as well.

A third-team choice, Hedgepeth's 5.20 digs per game was second best in the ODAC, while her 5.15 stops in ODAC matches was second best as well. She had a total of 369 digsl on the season which was eighth best in the ODAC. Hedgepeth had 10 more digs in 20 matches this season, including four matches with 20 or more and a 37 dig performance in a win over Ferrum.

Randolph-Macon earned three major awards and placed a league-best five players on all-conference teams as part of the annual All-ODAC Volleyball Awards. Yellow Jackets setter Erin Quinn was tabbed the ODAC Player of the Year, while mentor Bill Rogers repeated as the ODAC Coach of the Year. Outside hitter Miranda Hall garnered ODAC Rookie of the Year laurels. Bridgewater outside hitter Carleigh Studtmann secured ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete honors from the conference's sports information directors.
